May your weekend be filled with moments of trimming the tree and decking the halls,
And may you remember the babe who’s coming in the cover of night.
May you wrap arms around your people, spending long stretches of time looking into their faces,
And may you carve out time to point them to the empty manger, making space for them to anticipate the coming Christ.
And may you center your own heart in the stillness of the season and find the Love that is coming to dwell among us.
And now, for some of my favorites of the week!
The post that has shown up in my feed everyday this week…and made me smile.
This girl and I had coffee a few weeks ago and let me just tell you something: She oozes JOY and JESUS and GRACE. I read this post a few hours ago and it’s so beautiful, I thought I’d share it here. (And for all you local folks, she’s a narrative photographer who tells stories that will make you want to live more beautifully.)
The Man and I landed upon this video a few nights ago and tears rolled as I watched it. Lecrae and Lacey Sturm and Billy Graham, all telling the story of Jesus. Thirty minutes of the Gospel and thirty minutes to remember that God loves you, no matter what kind of sinner you claim to be. And personally, I fell in love with Billy Graham for the first time.
And then this video, in its entirety. May you praise Jesus for being born to hang on the mercy tree. He is coming to overcome.
May you not miss Christ this Christmas…(And really, is there anything this woman cannot do????)
And this, my favorite Christmas song…
