And it’s morning again.
I sit in a puddle of sunlight, my brain fuzzy with too much to do and too litle sleep and the weekend is upon me.
But it’s not really a weekend of rest.
It’s a weekend of beautiful, busy life stuff.
It’s all good stuff…stuff I want to do, people I want to do it with…
I’m happy with this weekend’s busy state. Really.
But I wake most days with a nagging feeling that somewhere deep down inside of me, there is young girl with some hidden gifts or talents, that when allowed to surface, give me life.
And I believe my gifts, or birthright gifts as Rebekah Lyons calls them, have the potential to give others life as well.
And maybe my story is your story, too.
Maybe you sit curled up in your favorite chair, your first cup of coffee in hand, waiting for your people to tumble down the stairs.
Maybe there is too much life in your too few hours and you, the one making it all happen, feels lost in the fray.
So this is for you~
The one on the other side of this screen…
The one who’s bleary-eyed and shellshocked by the sheer fact that it is morning…
The one who is swirling the caramel creamer into your first cup of coffee, kids already underfoot…
The one on the way to the job that is sucking the very life out of you.
The one who’s been handed a raw deal in life and you wake up mad every day only to fall asleep every night in a puddle of tears,
You really do.
You’re walking a certain path, in which God is weaving some ups and downs and preparing you for the next leg of the journey.
Your story is not insignificant or little or without purpose.
It is the very thing that God is giving you to point others to Christ.
So to help you in your journey towards making sense of your story and to encourage you to keep going, I am giving away 2 copies of Rebekah Lyon’s Freefall to Fly!! She writes with beautiful authenticity, her own story of finding meaning, of learning to identify and embrace her birthright gifts and how those gifts are meant to bring life to others. I devoured this book- I cried, I nodded my head with her as I turned pages, I underlined lines and lines of words, and it will be a book that I come to again and again.
