Cornstalks pointed towards the clear blue sky
Fields of sunflowers, turning their faces one more time before autumn calls them to fade
Cinderella pumpkins, in piles and piles and piles
Five smiling jack ‘o lanterns filling my porch
These children and that red-headed man of mine and me, in glorious pictures
Fresh hay and pockets of corn kernels, and ponies circled up to make God’s children smile
The farmers and their calloused hands and their worn Wranglers, grinning big and wide
These men and women who work the land and pray for bounty from God’s green earth
To give us a glimpse of God’s glory and a touch of His grace.
Happy Saturday, Friends.
May you catch a glimpse of God’s glory and a touch of His grace as you give thanks this weekend.
