It was that first face at the check-in desk and the way he smiled as he handed me those identity tags for my babies.
It was the quiet man behind the piano and the way he whispered in melodies the songs of my heart.
It was the humble man at the front and the way he held his bible and the quiet way he taught like Jesus and the way he breathed grace.
It was the cozy spot in the middle where we gathered for endless cups of coffee and where we were offered warm smiles and big hugs and the way that everyone looked deep into the soul by just peering into our eyes that said it all.
So glad you’re here. We love you already. We can take you, all of you, the good, the bad, the ugly, the broken, the messy, the shameful. You belong here.
I’m linking up with Liso Jo Baker at The Gypsy Mama for Five Minute Fridays. Quick little writing exercise for my Friday afternoon. Super Fun and Super Easy!
