My favorite time of the week. We all retreat to quiet. Some nap, some read, some play a game, but we all eat ice cream on the front porch. And one wild at heart boy, retreats to the horse swing hung from a tree limb, fifty feet above the ground.
Life is a gift.
In the quiet of this afternoon, I reflect on the morning’s gathering. Thanksgiving had filled the room as we shared of how we had seen God move in our midst the previous week. A Life Transformation Group that began as 2 is now up to 5 and will soon multiply again! Anniversaries were celebrated and praise was given to God’s hand in their lives. We shared John 3:1-17 and read about Nicodemus, the one who came to Jesus at night and asked the tough questions of how to be born again. We talked of darkness and light and having faith to believe. We rejoiced in God sending His only Son to save the world and give us eternal life. We shared communion and prayed together.
We worshiped, together.
And my list of thanksgiving continues to grow…
